Nurturing and experienced multilingual teacher and linguist!

Hi! I’m Andrea. I have 10 years of English teaching experience and am an accredited ESL teacher with a degree in Linguistics currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Media & Communications at the University of Melbourne.

I am multilingual and can teach in both English and Mandarin.
I have teaching experience across various subjects including English, where I bring a unique blend of academic excellence and a passion for fostering a genuine love for each subject. My teaching career includes guiding students from primary to junior college levels, and I take pride in tailoring my tutoring methods to cater to individual needs and learning styles, focusing on techniques and skills rather than just content.

I have extensive experience working with children of various needs including special needs, understanding the importance of adapting teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning. I believe in going beyond memorisation, emphasising the development of applied skills. Rather than simply absorbing content, I strive to nurture critical thinking and problem-solving, encouraging students to engage on a deeper level.
